Venison and Morels
« on: April 13, 2012, 09:52:00 PM »
It's been dry in Wisconsin but found a handful of morels today including this one. Fixed up some venison steaks from my doe this year sauted with the morels. Oh boy that was gooood!

If they are in WI, then they are definitely here.

Next week is my dads Turkey season, I will tell hi  to keep an eye out.

Good Find Bruce!

I think the dryness has been the main culprit here but its about to change this week.  80 degree days, 40's at night and rain.

Morels and venison, like hand in a glove.  some things were meant to be together.
Relax,

Great Find Bruce! I need to check out at Neosho, cuz vultures swarm at Ojibwa from what i hear.  It's not a safe place to be when they are popping up.

Surely in heaven, venison is bountiful, and morels grow year round! A divine feast.
Plant a fruit or nut tree today, and have good hunting tomorrow.
