Rob,
With either version can I just slip the CD or DVD into any computer and read it without being on line?  I am thinking so but am not brilliant enought to be completely sure.
BTW, does the CD version look as good as the DVD but with less veiwing options?

the IAM HTML (CD) or PDF (DVD) versions both work "offline" - none require an internet connection.  

the CD HTML requires the use of a CD drive and a browser - no internet connection is required.  

the PDF DVD version requires the use of a DVD drive and any PDF reader.  browsers and pdf readers are all free downloads off the internet.

Rob, is there any way to view the mags on an IPad that you know of ???  

They don't have a CD drive or a USP port..

if you can load files into an ipad, that's just what you do.  the ipad will need 1gig of unused ram to store IAM HTML or PDF files (PDF will be lots faster and overall better) and a browser or pdf reader, and yer good to go.  instant IAM, L&R and EOA at yer fingertips no matter where you are!  how cool is that?  way cool, i say.  :D

you can email the pdf files to your ipad and read the files directly.

the pdf version now also contains pdf versions of sir arthur conan doyle's classic epic "the white company", and maurice thompson's "the witchery of archery".
