Ok so I now have an official nemesis!
I have called the same bird in 3 times in 2 days and he is whooping my butt.
Here is the lay of the land.
1st encounter (day 1) i called the bird in off the roost and he strutted by the pond to within 30 yards of the blind. I had a Jake and Hen decoy out and he stopped at 30 yards looked them over, let out a put then followed the yellow colored line just below the ridge then came up at the Pink line on the right and proceeded to strut out of view. (the property line ends where the pink line and yellow line touch on the right side) (no decoys)
2nd encounter (day 2) Called the bird in off the roost. He strutted down the pink line on the left to the property line then turned and walked back in the direction he came after he saw the blind.
3rd encounter (day 2) 2:00pm the bird followed the same path as day 1 this time staying 70 yards out. he dropped below the ridge top then proceeded to put as he crested the ridge at the property line and strutted the pink line on the right for an hour. (no decoys)
This bird has GOTTA GO!
My plan for day 4 is to set the blind on the end of the pond. The path is only 10 yards wide at this point and any bird coming down the path will not see the blind until they are even with the end of the pond.
Any other ideas?
