"Sod Poodles" [courtesy of Red Beastie] eat well if you get the 6 scent glands off them. One under leg joint area and 2 I found later in life tween the shoulder blades...

Parboil with seasonings and then bred and fry or bake... yum.

Nice shot and stalk! I would love to hunt those critters. I remember they use to den next to my Grandfathers garden and he would do them in with his 22-250. A bow would be cool for those with plenty patience.

Great shot! We used to have a lot of them around here until the coyotes got out of control. Don't see many at all anymore. I honed my hunting skills on them as a kid.
