We ate Turkey ,,LOL
« on: April 29, 2012, 05:25:00 PM »
Hi Guys,

I had my good friend Kevin from Tallon Archery from Echo Bay Ontario join me for a Traditional turkey hunt here in Southern Ontario. First morning we had high winds and snow. No birds sighted. That afternoon we hunted a farm near Bradford and had some better luck. We called in some hens and a jake at about 150 yards only to turn and bolt away, LOL. Yesterday morning we had a gobbler working the field over the hill only to have a neighbour shoot him (shotgun). We also had pidgeons, geese, trumpeter swans and an osprey (that we thought was going to take one of the decoys). Called in two hens again only to have one lay an egg in front of the blind. Never saw that before. Took the egg home and boiled it, expensive egg,,LOL. Later in the evening we had the boys and their wives over for dinner and had a bearded hen show up in the back yard. Great weekend.

Wow! That's kinda cool about having one lay an egg next to your blind!

Keep after them!
