Thank you for the heads up on the free Saxton Pope book for the Kindle.

Seeing as I'm horizontal for the next 1-3 months, is there any other FREE books available on Kindle that is trad archery/hunting available?  It would give me something to do to take my mind off wanting to get up.

Thanks in advance guys,

Exactly. By default both the kindle and the nook color will only access books by the manufacturer. Nook for Barnes and noble and the kindle can access books on Amazon. You can root/hack either one so they work more like a generic tablet PC. Then you can download books from any service, download apps and even watch movies.

Don't forget the Kindle app for smartphones, I read Hunting with the Bow and Arrow at camp last bow season along with a couple of great ones written by state game wardens chronicaling their years in the field.  I particularly enjoyed "Poacher Wars" by WIlliam Wasserman and though it isn't bowhunting related directly I also really liked "One mans wilderness"  Okay, book report over!
That's why they call it hunting....

Thanks so much. My old paperback wore out a long time ago. So glad to get this. I just got it downloaded. Next to the Bible my favorite book.

God bless you all, Steve

Mike, go to the link I posted on page one. Use their search function and look for hunting, archery, etc. I rarely buy ebooks but have several in my library for free. Teddy Roosevelt's book on Hunting the Grisly is a good one. There are others. When you do your search sort by price low-high and the free ones will pop up first.

Actually, there are several free ones on Kindle, iBooks, and others. They just may not have the pictures.   :readit:
