I have a wonderful opportunity to hunt GMA 70 on a private ranch this year. I will be hunting in the Telluride/Norwood areas. I would greatly appreciate any and all input/experiences in GMA 70. Thanks for your time.

Bring a camera. That area is some of the prettiest in the state.

We hunted in the Telluride area last year. It was much easier going in that area than the first area we went to. I think you will enjoy it. Beautiful area there.
BTW, we saw quite a few elk there also. Newbies (first elk hunting experience) that we were, we just couldn't get it done, but had a great time in the learning process.

Geezer, Awbowman & Gehrke145, really appreciate your responses. Looking forward to scouting the area for three or four days in mid-June. Have a great day.

Mark,
My dad and I hunted out of Norwood 10-12 years ago... firearms... beautiful country... hunted a section of National Forest North of Lone Cone and another section south of Norwood... saw lots of deer on private ground... quite a bit of elk sign... saw several parties that had taken elk... and had a friend with us that missed a nice bull... enjoy your hunt... I've always wanted to go back with a bow, but haven't had a chance too...
