Damascus Dura-Glove
« on: May 05, 2012, 05:14:00 PM »
3Rivers doesn't have any of the Damascus dura-gloves anymore. Does anyone know where I can purchase 1 or more of them in size large ?
Thanks

Not quite sure if you mean the Damascus glove (doeskin) or Dura-glove (deerskin and nylon?), but: All leather Damascus: Big Jim's.
Dura-glove, or something close: Lost Nation or Alaska Bowhunting. Been looking myself.

The Dura-Glove is on backorder, and will be available in September from 3-Rivers according to customer support.

Try the Bearpaw Speed Glove, I got mine from Kustom King.  Same thing, leather glove with reinforced tips.  I like the Dura glove too, but the Bearpaw seems like it's made better and the fingers on mine haven't twisted like on the Dura gloves I've had.  Dura glove is still a good one, just think the Bearpaw is a nice alternative.

Just cancelled my order from 3 Rivers. Been on back order for close to 3 months.   "[dntthnk]"
Here's their reply...

We will not be getting them in until late July, early August.  I do apologize for the delay.  We had received some samples due to a change in the materials and the samples were not acceptable.  We are working with the manufacturer to ensure that the gloves maintain their previous level of quality.

Is the dura glove sold by Three Rivers made by Damascus? The reason I ask is because the damascus glove factory is a block from my office in rutland Vermont.

I tried to get the Berlin instead, but they had the same problem. (same maufacturer) I opted for the Skookum glove. Anyone try it before?

Take a look'at Kustom King's Deer Glove. It's very close to a dura glove. Ooops already said that..

Thanks everyone...guess I'll look at some of you all's suggestions. I sure would hate to wait until August or Sept.
