Finally drew a Elk Tag
« on: May 08, 2012, 09:02:00 AM »
Unit 17 New Mexico. This will be my first attempt with Trad Equipment. I plan to use my 62" ACS 3pc. 49@28. CX 150 arrows with sharp 2 blade broadheads. Total arrow weight around 580 grains. Starting to Shoot everyday and walking to get in shape. That tag puts a new outlook on things. Take care, Randy   :clapper:

This makes my third drawn tag over the last 12 years. Twice I have purchased Land Owner tags. I have harvested 3 P&W Bulls in my 4 previous trips. All with Wheel bow.I am very excited to Hunt Bulgling Bulls with Trad Equipment.

Congrats Randy.  I am Weikel's buddy that spoke with you over at Keystone last Dec when you measured my buck that I took with the longbow.  This fall I am heading back to Colorado to an area that had been very good to me on my last trip there.   Good luck on a great tag and can't wait to see photos.  Clay
