62" pronghorn with longer draw?

hi there all im considering getting a second hand 62" 50# pronghorn td longbow but i am concerned that i have a 30" draw and it will stack too much or have too much string pinch, does anyone have any experience with the pronghorn 62" td bow with a longer draw or any opinions? i have shot plenty of 62" recurves and a 62" martin savanna that i loved and had no trouble with and im not worried about the weight as i shoot a few 60+# hill bows.

I draw 29 1/2" with my 62" Pronghorn and don't have any issues, you shouldn't have any either.

Cheers mate that puts my mind at ease. Does anyone know long are the risers? And are they center cut?

If you talk with Herb, he would put you at ease also.  He is not a fan of really long bows.  I draw a bit over 29 and he had me at 60 inch max and didn't feel a 56 would give me any problems.

As has been said already Herb would tell you 62 or 60 is great for your.

mine was 62", and I draw 29 3/4".  I never had any issues at all.  But, that was my first custom bow, so I was pretty new to this.

I have both 60" and 62" 3-pc and they are very smooth drawing. I have drawn them 30", but my draw is shorter.

Riser is 15", but he makes a shorter riser. 23" between fade-outs. The 62" has a bit more R&D. Because the throat of the handle is forward of the line between the ends of the fadeout, the bow is very stable, smooth and less affected by hand pressure (torgue). Good luck to you.

I like the extra mass weight of a three piece.  I also like the smooth draw ofbthe pronghorn.
Personal preference always win over opinions

Measured mine, the riser is 37.5 cms.  Just buy it, you won't regret it!  And if it doesn't work out for you, Pronghorns are pretty easy to sell, heck, I'd like another of about the weight you're looking at.

Yea I bought it left handed 62" 50#@28" so I'm very excited got it off lefties r us. Can't wait to start tuning it up and get it out hunting.

Does anyone know how far the shelf is cut? Is it center cut ?

Just did a short Google search and came up with opposing answers, one guy said yes, they're center cut, and another said no they're not.  So, if I were you and wanted a definitive answer, I'd just email Herb and get the info from the source.  I'm not sure how to measure it, otherwise I'd just check mine.

They are not center cut, about 1/8" off, if I remember correctly.

As Tracy said they are not cut to center.  Herb would be able to answer with numbers. I will say my longbows shoot a very wide range of arrows quite well.
