Scott, definitely liking the thumb rest.
I sent a tracing of my hand ,a pic of my high wrist grip and Dan made the bow fit.

The thumb rest just is certainly an integral part of the design of the grip. It really pulls everything together for an easily repeatable grip on the bow.

...oh...I like the way it looks too..lol

Thanks for the info on the thumb rest, how does that length bow feel at 29in draw ? I have a little longer draw [29.25-29.5] and have been lookin at Dans bows for some time now. I didnt know if the 62" bow would work or just go to a 64".

Nice!  Dan and Jared make Be-U-tiful bows and they are top-notch folks too.  Definitely a great investment, well worth the price and you know it when it's in your hand!  Mine is in the upper right corner of this page as of right now, that's me and "MTB" my Ebony/DArk Myrtle Whip, just got her last year after visiting Dan and Jared in MT for the second time.  Your's is a beauty, no doubt!

yankeevol--how do you like the Big Jim Quiver?  I was just looking at quivers yesterday for my whip.   Also, what size quiver did you get and do you shoot the bow with it on?

I draw 29" and have shot his 62" and 64" Whips a lot. A 62" will work for you, but you'll be happier with a 64". It will be silky smooth and a bit more stable...the extra 2" are worth it.


edit:  hope I didn't imply that there was anything negative with a 62"....just realized the OP's is a 62". It was JMHO that the 64" was a bit smoother/stable for me. I actually just sold a 62" that I'll probably regret. It was just too heavy for me.

Hi Scott.
It feels really good to me at 29.25"
That's my actual draw.
I'm not feeling hardly any pinch at all.
The string angle at your fingers feels like about any other 62" r/d bow.

I sure can't feel any stack at all.

In all honesty, it draws so smooth it forces you to learn a consistent anchor. There just isn't any easily discernible stack to clue you in to being at your draw.

This bow is about 1" longer than my 62" Savannah.
I don't know if my Sav is a little short or if this bow is a little long..( maybe a combo of both )

If you're looking to go to 64" for smoothness of draw and lack of stack there is no need.

If you're thinking you want less angle at your fingers, longer length always helps there. Not many ways around that with the same style of bow.

Personally, I know a loooonger bow would be more comfortable to shoot.

BUT.. I wouldn't want to go any longer in my hunting bow because I hunt from the ground and shoot kneeling sitting on my heels often.

Any longer and I'd have to be too mindful of my lower tip hitting the dirt than I'd care for.

I own a 66" classic whip and a couple of 62" classic whips. If I had to keep only one, it would be a 62" bow, I draw 29"s and there is no downside whatsoever with the 62" bow.

I have a 62" Super D and although it's "the one", I can see a classic whip in my future.  I just don't see how I can get away from the idea.
