LH Rainyday Bow Pass Around
« on: May 16, 2012, 10:20:00 PM »
I've never been on one of the "pass around" lists before.  Looks like I'm up first on the LH Rainyday! The bow looks very nice in pictures. Reckon I'll receive the bow soon.

Can't wait.  Think I'm #4 or #5!

First I would like to say thanks to George for letting me review his bow. A review of the LH Rainy Day bow, with a little history. I first saw a set of belly mount limbs on a Black Widow recurve, the one I saw the riser looked real bulky so I dismissed it with no interest to own a bow with that bulky of a riser, I then ran into a guy while hunting area 10 of CO this past year who had one from a local bowyer that the riser intrigued me more where I would considering owning one. So when George posted an offer of testing driving one I got real excited. After all I was thinking I might find a recuvre that would accommodate my draw 30" length with no stacking or finger pinching.

What I found with this bow is that for the draw weight of 50# at 28" it had a smooth draw and no stacking or pinching for my 30" draw. I liked the smoothness  of this recurve, it shot smooth and quick, and where I looked.

Overall I would not hesitate to recommend this bow to others along with think about now adding a recurve to my stable someday.
I like the looks of the bow and its simple elegant beauty. Here are a few pics for everyone to enjoy.

I apologize I forgot to take the camera to the range to get photos with arrows in target.
