For those not familiar with ArcTrap (
www.arctrap-asso.com), it's an organized event in Europe where archers compete shooting aerial targets. Foam disks are thrown from mechanical throwers and the archer's score is based on hits. It's similar to clay shooting with a shotgun but the disks are thrown straight up everyone uses bows and flu flus. They are now in their fifth year over there and I think it would be a lot of fun to try here. Not only would it be fun but also great practice for real birds, which is coming right up.
I have been working with Laurent Ivaldi, International ArcTrap Associciation president and Co-founder, on possibly setting up an ArcTrap event in the United States.
They look like a very fun event that can help archers practice aerial targets and increase their bowhunting success.
Would you be interested in participating? Do we have any tradgangers overseas that have been able to participate in any of these shoots?
