Found my Dream Hill,, Thank you Tradgang Brothers
« on: May 27, 2012, 07:51:00 PM »
Well it started with my purchase of a new Hill Wesley Special this year. I had a great one built in 2006 that I foolishly sold. Immediately when the new one arrived I remembered why I love Hill bows, so smooth , so consistant, shoot right where I'm looking and so simple. My new Hill is a Wesley with Red Elm backing, Texas ebony riser, riser and tip overlays, 52 @ 26, 64". Shoots a Heritage 150 at 625g with authority. Going through Hill sites and posts I find a beauty. She's a special edition Longbowman's Choice 64"'s. Owner is reported as "Fishone". Well Craig and I have bought and sold a few bows and such of eachother over the years so I P.M him "Craig, you still have that bow?". Sorry Frank, sold her awhile ago and don't rememeber to who. Darn. So I roll the dice and post an ad in Tradional Bows " Wanted 64" Longbowman's Choice", sure, I should have just bought a lottery ticket, LOL. Two days later much to my delight I get a P.M , "Ontario, I think I have the bow your looking for". Now Bicster wasn't looking to sell this bow, killed a few deer with her and shoot her a lot. However he knew I was in love and offered to sell her to me. Yahoo. Well the bow turned out to be more than I had expected. 47 @ 26. Shoots like a dream. Thanks Bicster. Then my good friend from Texas Ric O'shea offer to build het a couple of strings. Dan's TS1 strings transform Hill's into quiet and quick shooting machines. Thanks Danny!! The Heritage 150 was shoot from the Wesley and the 3555 from the LBC both shoot exactly where I was looking at 22 yards.

Good to see you back Hillbro! Two better Texans you'll not likely find anywhere. Bow's are beauts! Great shooting!

Frank,

You are too kind with the words and thoughts behind them. I am pleased that you have the strings and the Hills work for you. Take care my friend!
