Where to find real fur tracers?
«

I dont care for the stick on tracers sold at 3Rivers. I'd like to find the real thing (rabbit fur) or a similar material. Prefer white in color. I use super glue to attach and it holds so much better than the stick on (tape).
Does the local fabric store carry this? Looking to do a dozen or so.
Thanks in advance.

Fly shop at Bass Pro in Grapevine has it. They're called zonker strips. One pack will do a bunch.

Try your local fly fishing shop. They are made of rabbit fur and are called zonker strips, they come in lots of colors, even chartreuse. I have used the brown ones to make a hellgrammite imatation fly that the local river smallmouth absolutly LOVE!

He could always go to the SPCA and "adopt" a lil bunny! On second thought maybe a fly tying shop is the way to go.
