Today I feel especially proud to be a TradGanger! The St. Jude auction has once again demonstrated the unbelieveable generosity of our TradGang family. I felt blessed to mail in my money this morning for the purchase I made last night--in fact, few things in life give me more joy!
See, this whole thing is not actually about buying bows, arrows, quivers or pound cake ( :D ) it's about desperately ill children and grieving parents...it's about new hope, and the incredible courage of some really sick kids who go to St. Jude in hopes of the promise of life. It's about no parent ever getting a bill from St. Jude. It's about showing kindness to "one of the least of these" (The Gospel according to Matthew 25:40.)
And it's about a bunch or arrow flingers who open their hearts wide along with their wallets and checkbooks to help make the miracle of St. Jude continue.
I am proud of my fellow Gangers! You do stuff that some folks would say is crazy! But I know that you feel that same sense of gratitude that I do that you have something to give--it doesn't have to be much, but if each one does a little a lot is accomplished.
Some while in the past I found this:
"I am only one,
But I am one!
I cannot do everything,
But I can do something.
What I can to do,
I ought do.
And what I ought to do,
By the grace of God, I will do!
