Those darn Robin Hoods :)
« on: June 04, 2012, 03:46:00 PM »
Finally the snow has melted here in the west of Norway, and we are in good training for coming hunting and 3D season.

Was out shooting with my friend Steinar aka Grande this evening and the famous Robin Hood came on a visit

The point of hit on the deer I think was good, but the second arrow should have gone a thad right     :archer:

The Shooting was with my BD ca 55@mf and the first arrow was a Goldtip 7595 with 100 gn insert and a 250 gn point.
The arrow attached to the Goldtip is an Easton Axis 400 spine with 250 up front!
Totally different in weight but well tuned both.

BTW: Distance ca 25 yards.
With a healthy dose of madness and bad memory, life`s a wonderful journey

Same thing happened to me last night, about 1" left of my 'spot'.  Hadn't had one in months but the sound is unmistakeable.

I feel your pain Biathlonman. Had my first RH with a trad bow a couple of weeks ago.  Was happy at first, then reality set in. Newly fletched $7 carbon arrow in the dumpster. OUCH!

You can have them in my opinion. A tad right as you say and everything is still very good.
What you did, not so much. Can't argue with your consistency, though...

When I complained about a few, I was told never to shoot at the same spot more than once. If you were not shooting at the same spot, when it happened, please disregard my first sentence.lol

I looked them up and they make some very realist targets. Judging from the kill zone on your target it looks like they hold up very well. I wish we could get them over here.

Thanks, and great shooting once again!!!

They have several good targets but also some with not so good quality.

I would highly recommend Rhinehart targets they are the hardiest I know about    :archer:

The first one is nice  :bigsmyl:   after that, the  crunching sound starts getting costly,   :banghead:  your own arrows, in sted of haveing to buy new ones"  :archer2:
