I am helping out a friend who has a 58" nice old Grizzly. Problem is that the string he has is way too fat and his nocks stick causing lousy arrow flight. I want to get him a nicer, thinner string served to fit Easton/Carbon Express, etc nocks..
I always get FF strings and SBD is closed, so I'm not sure who to go to for a quick string..

I like champion custom bowstrings. Although I had a guy (bearbowman) build my set for the kodiak, he really know is bear bows and builds a great string, really really good qaulity and ill keep using him for that bow and any other bears I end up with. He does take awhile to get strings from though

I'll second
Champion Custom Bowstrings
.
Great guy to work with and after building 10,000 + strings you can bet he knows his stuff.

I appreciate the good word!
FWIW, my wait time can vary a lot, depending on how many orders I have waiting. I make all of my strings as ordered, and it's all me--from cutting the strands to serving to trimming and packing...my wife does address envelopes for me sometimes though....
As of right now, barring no disasters, I should be a week out, maybe less--that's subject to change at any time though.

X3 Oliverstacy. Josh has made more than few Dacron strings for some older Bear bows that I used to have. You might try the new B-55 material, it's like B-50 without the creep.

Thanks Guys!
I don't know jack about the types of Dacron. What is the best to use these days B-50-55-500?

There's not a big difference between B-50, B-500, and B-55.
B-50 is Brownell, B-500 and B-55 are BCY. BCY is supposed to have less stretch and creep, but again--not a big difference.
I use B-55 because I like BCY products and service, and I'll take what I can get to reduce the stretch and creep of dacron, even if it's just a little bit.
I will say I won't mix any of them together--slightly different rates of stretch/creep can affect noise, performance, durability, etc.
