Feather question
«

I recently purchased some feathers online via ****. They were advertised as trueflight 5" LW shield cut feathers. When I recieved them today they were in plastic boxes with Martin Archery labels on the top. I wanted Trueflighht because I have heard they are the best. Are they the same? Should I use them? If I get trueflights from somewhere else, will the be the same? Thanks

"Best" is a relative term. What it really matters is personal preference.
I've shot both Trueflight and Gateway and I "prefer" Gateway for their durability. My arrows fletched with Trueflights always needed to be re-fletched before my Gateway feathered arrows did.

Try them and see. I shoot whatever I trade for and they all work.

The problem is I may want to get other colors and am wondering if the patterns will be off between brands.

I can usally tell the difference between Tru-flight and Gateway by the thickness of the quill.Just from my experience.I bought some 4" sheild on E*** with a Martin label, they are Tru-flight feathers.I would use them,I shoot Tru-flight,Gateway and AMG.Which ever ones I get a guy buy on.I haven't had any problems with any of them.I just don't mix different brands on the same arrow.
