I'll stay in Arkansas and hunt mainly in the Ozark Mts. I'll be bowhunting an area I haven't hunted in 15 years and renewing an old friendship that was foolishly allowed to slip away. I cut my teeth bowhunting this area and in one month I managed to miss six deer. That was back when I thought I had to shoot a 60# recurve. I was seriously overbowed and had much better success after I dropped 10-15#s.

I'll be hunting deer, elk, and antelope close to home. Maybe try for a lion as well.

Might head to Nebraska for whitetails, and have a javi hunt planned in Texas.

Good luck all!

Unless something drastic happens, I will be heading to Nebraska in Oct. on one of the PBS hunts. Concentrate on mule deer and merriams, but depending on which camp I head to, I may even have a chance for antelope.

Mule Deer close to home, lucked out and drew unit 76 for elk, both in September. Hopefully get a leftover whitetail tag for the eastern part of the state in Nov. AZ in December for coues deer. It should be a great year.
