If you ever decide to look into vented heads, give the Zephyr Sasquatch a try. Im pretty sure they are 1 5/8ths. They sharpen easily and absolutely drain deer. I tried them this year for the 1st time and was very impressed on how they performed on a whitetail here in NY. They will be on my woodies this fall. If you come up with a 1 3/4ths head Ill be ordering some myself. I like 2 bladers and the holes they leave.

I know a Snuffer is a vented head but... have you ever seen the bloodtrail from one of the big (160 grains)ones on a deer?

165 grain Simmons Intercepter with a 125 grain steel adapter works for me.

Big Jim Big-3 is an awesome head, I also like the 1 1/4" VPA 250, Centaur Big Game and Battle Axe, also the Silver Flame 180 gr XL and XXL (or the original DS model...).

If VPA would make a big wide Penetrator I'd look real close at it... and probably have to try it...  ;)

If they made the "werewolve" broadhead with a 1 1/2" or wider deadhead shaped blade it would fill your request perfectly. As they are its just to narrow for my taste so I will stick with 160 snuffers but I too am always looking.........

I use Zwickey Delta 4s pretty much exclusively on deer....big chop, and the bleeders let em bleed....and no problem blowing through them.  Been doing that for over two decades.

Regardless of what gets type as of late, our bows are not inefficient without some 'magic recipe'...and deer haven't become armor plated. Blown through some big hogs as well with 4 blades.

I'm not sure exactly what you are looking for, but there are LOTS of options today....with aluminum, titanium, and steel adapters...along with brass inserts, you can make the front end about any weight you want....and LOTS of big chop heads to choose from.

I want to use a Land Shark this fall....just for kicks....yeah...a 4 blade one.          :D

And maybe even Big Jims on a black bear         :readit:

Tons of great heads. When I went after bison, I did a lot of research and trial myself. I went very heavy, my arrows were just at 1000 grains and shot a 76# Silvertip.  I chose the big STOS head, I don't remember why, the heads were all very comparible. But they didnt require me to remortgage the house like the famous single bevels.
I killed two bison, my first was mine, low and quartering away... it ran about 40 yards and collapsed, then my buddies a couple years later. He had a broadside passthrough that looked beautiful, 2 hours later the buff was very angry and no sign of dropping at all. So we double teamed it and I ended up sneaking the same STOS low and quartering away and that did it.
I've taken two bison and three whitetail;s with that head. I'm shooting a lot lighter now so I downsized back to Magnus and Zwickey.
If you look to the left of the bison below, you'll see my full length arrow nock sticking out of his side. The head lodged into the bone inside, I unscrewed the arrow to remove it, and got the head when we cleaned out the animal with lineman pliars. The head was perfect, sharpened and put back in the quiver and used again as stated above. I'm sure a lot of heads today would produce similar results.

I can't imagine a head being much better than the tree shark for deer. IMO if you were to have a non vented 2" straight blade head you would have a head that wanted to wind plane badly.
The concave edge reduces so much surface area allowing for a big head with awesome flight characteristics.
I wonder how a non vented tree shark would fly?  Still a lot more surface area.

I've been a fan of big 2 blade heads for over 50 years. I've killed animals with Goshawks, Dead Heads, Timber Wolf and Simmons just to name a few. For the last 7 or 8 years I've been using the Ace Super Express 200gr. The head is extremely strong and the carbon steel is easy to sharpen to a hair poppin edge. It flys like a bullet and it cuts a BIG hole. What more could you ask of a broadhead...     :archer:

In camp in 1958 with some big 2 blade Goshawk heads in my bow quiver (note, no blade guard)
