Takedown Recurve Hard Case Suggestions?
« on: June 17, 2012, 08:05:00 AM »
been looking for a reasonably prices bow case.  prefer a hard case, but most are more expensive than i would like to spend.  started looking at takedown shotgun cases, but thought i would check for some ideas.

Plano makes some hard cases designed for pistols and accessories. it fit my td recurve very well. I think this is the one I bought. I've had mine for 10 years+ and it still works great. It's not in stock at this link, but I'm pretty sure thats the one.

I have the SKB and I flat out "LOVE" it when I need it.  It holds two bows, a dozen arrows, and all of the hunting stuff I need for a trip including my safari-tuff quiver.  It is flat out awesome.

The down side is that lately it costs me $50-$75 dollars roundtrip to get it to and from a destination due to these ridiculous luggage fees. It is also hard to fit in a rental car trunk.

You can use a hard gun case.

Or an arrow case. Just need to add some padding.

I have one of the cabelas bulletproof II's and it is really nice - takedown shotgun case. Found it in bargain cave and works great. Unfortunately they are like 200 bucks to get normally. Looking for something cheaper to stash some bows away. They do not need to be airline approved.

Anybody use safari tuff rhino? Not hard case but look pretty good.
