wildgame innovations trail cams?

I know guys who have used them that did not like them at all. Personally, I use nothing but Moultrie M-80s. Inexpensive, compact, quick shutter release, and great battery life (when using AA Lithiums they last me the entire season).

I've had two of them for the past few years. One works great; the other likes to spontaneously shut itself off for no reason. I'm thing about trying to fix the bad one with a 12 gauge.

I just got a spypoint for my birthday, but I've shyed away from the Wild Game brand... Can't tell you I 've had anything for experience.. I've got my fingers crossed on my spypoint...

I have 3, 2 messed up, I sent the back after a year, and they sent me 2 new ones, upgraded bettter models, free!! NO problems after that.

I've got an X6C. Takes great pics and vids, and a descent trigger speed. Battery life wasn't what i was hoping for, but double A's are a whole lot easier to deal with than my old Moultrie that takes D's.

I have had one for a year so far no problems
on a scale of 1-10 pic are about a 7 not too bad for the money.

I have one with a flash.  It is hard on batteries, and sometimes it is filled with black exposures.  When it does take pictures, they are very good.  Not sure I would buy another one.

Here is the thing with trail cameras for me. I spend a lot of time, effort and money on getting picts of deer to let me know if they are there. When I have just waited a week to check a camera in a new hot spot during hunting season trying to determine my next move and you walk up to it and it has died or isn't taking picts, I have just lost a week's worth of time and effort. To me it isn't worth it to get the lower priced cameras.

Now if you simply want to get pictures of critters for fun, by all means do not spend much on a camera. Another thing, I haven't found or heard of a brand of camera yet that won't have an issue from time to time out of a lemon camera. They just aren't made to withstand what we put them through for under $300. Think about it for a minute. We are putting a self triggered camera out in the blazing hot sun, rain and cold and expecting it to perform flawlessly for years just like that Canon we buy to take picts of our family and hero shots and for all under $300 or is some cases $69.99.

I've heard many problems with these, but they do seem to be quick to replace them for you.  Mine lasted most of a season giving me 150 nice pics a night under an apple tree, then it suddenly went to 7 pics a week and mostly dark pictures, but I know the animals were still hammering apples every night.  I got it replaced, but haven't used the new one too much just yet.  In Pittsburgh I get ALOT of rain.  I wonder if in bone dry Texas, where these things come from, maybe they tend to last longer.

i had mine for about 9 months and lovd it. but it died all of the sudden without any real reasoning? called the company and without any problems they sent me a new one. this happened 3 more timees within a 5 month period. eventually i just gave up with the camera and got a better one. my .02 is spend a little more and get somthing better

I have an one that worked great in the field and it has been in use since Dec. spying on my front door. 1000's of pix and still working. Batteries last quite a while. The Red 6 I think it is called, not sure though. 6 something.

As with many others here, I've owned a few of them and experienced electrical issues such as those that others have described. That being said, I have picked them up cheap when on sale and have been able to return or exchange them when they malfunctioned. I would recommend looking at other brands, and if price is a factor then hold out for sales.

I had a couple of them several years ago. One of them didn't last very long and quit after one season. The other one lasted a couple seasons but would never take a picture after dark. I threw both of them away.

I had one for a couple of seasons but it died!! I was not impressed. Bought a Spypoint and the camera works fine but then I find out that I need a Spypoint viewfinder to see the photos without hauling the trail cam back to my computer!!! You can't win!
