Anyone shoot broadheads with just an offset fletch,and get good flight?

Yes, 4" four fletch.  I only used BHs up to 1 1/4" wide.  The arrow tuning needs to be correct for good flight.

I prefer a lot of helical for the "oops" factor, but yes if your bow is well tuned you can shoot offset just fine.

I shot broadheads  for many years  with offset straight fletch.  Now I shoot all helical   but still have some old arrows around with straight fletch.  Right spine, right weight head   mounted straight  etc   they will shoot straight .

A lot of helical also helps when the winds blowing. Can't set up your hunting or target shooting bow simply for indoor conditions.

Im new to trad and shoot 4" parabolic straight fletch arrows. My arrows fly like darts with field points, screwed a 100 gr montec on yesterday and shot it and the arrow didnt fly very well. Do you think a 5" shield helical would fix the problem?

Broadheads will show minor tuning discrepancies that a field point will not.  If the arrow isn't flying well, a 5" helical may MASK the problem, but won't really fix it.  Shoot that Montec thru paper and see what is really happening.  A well tuned package will shoot broadhead arrows with 3 fletch 4" helical just fine, IMO.

I have tried both, and helical works the best for me with 5' three fletch.

Helical or off set...either works....just not straight fletch.

I like 1/8th inch stagger either way.  If you are having tuning or form issues 1/4 inch stagger will cover up more errors and they will be louder.

Off set is a staggered set just like helical...just a straight line from point A to point B instead of a curved one.  Both achieve the same thing.

Again, you don't want straight fletch.
