Which is a stronger head,the screw in or the glue on with an aluminum adapter?Have settled on this head for my 50 lb longbow.Anyone have comments about this head,or experiences with it?Have to use aluminum bh adapter to keep weight at 175grains that my setup loves.Or those titanium ones that are a bit pricey.The glue on tigershark looks a  bit tougher to me but not sure about aluminum adapter weakening it.thanks

The screw in is stronger. I have had several break behind the threads on the adaptor. LCH

erierik,  I use more weight with mine glueing in a 100 grain adaptor.  Very strong and my bows love the weight up front.  This combo is very strong.

I have shot 2 animals that really tested the screw in tiger shark and it has been very tough.  I shot through a cow elks shoulder blade and busted her spine. The head still spun true. I also shot a whitetail where my arrow clipped the close shoulder blade and went through the back strap and buried in the far shoulder blade.  After a long chase I was able to get the buck and recover that head which was in great shape.
   I believe the aluminum adapter would be the weak link and I would not worry about the durability of the screw in.

I've only shot the screw in heads and only have one experience with them as far as taking an animal goes. I shot two turkey's in one shot this spring with a TreeShark leading the way. The head looks like it did before the shot. GREAT BH!

I have shot around 40 deer with the glue in adaptors (aluminum).If they hit the shoulder on the off side or spine they would break behind the threads. The screw ins will not they are just as tough as the Landsharks and Treesharks and they hold up extremely well.LCH

I cast a lead slug into the glue in for more weight and have never had one break on me.  I haven't had a screw in break but have had a couple bend slightly.

Use the long aluminum adapter and make sure you get plenty of glue into the ferrule. Strength should be fine.

I was wondering the same thing last night. I had finally decided to order some for a different arrow set up I've been wanting to try. I decided on using steel inserts over aluminum so I bought some Tigers instead of Treesharks.

Had some tiger sharks, with 75gr. steel adapters, for about three years now. They glued up straight are fairly tough.
Wish you could still get the heavier, unvented models.
