Bows for a 32" draw

I'm looking for help. I need to provide my good friend some ideas or direction for bows that he can hunt with that are on the shorter side in regards to length. What would you recommend for a guy with a 32" draw wanting to shoot about 50# at his draw length? Smooth without stacking.

I haven't had probs with bows in the 64 inch range as far as hunting. draw 31.  Give Dan Toelke a call. I drew a 58 inch recurve of his and I think he said I had another inch to go. He will tell you if can or can't.

As far as shorter bows, he might try the Predator by Pittsley (Hunter's Niche) in 62".  I draw 32.5" and it does not stack  at all.  I could draw more with that bow... if my arms were longer! Very smooth and one of the fastest tested by Blacky Schwartz. They are reasonably priced too.  My Black Widow PTFX (62") does pretty well with my long draw also. Ideally, a 64" bow would provide a smoother release due to the string angle, but I don't care for longer bows, although I may get one for 3D shoots some day.

I draw 32.5" and shoot a 64" Black Widow PMA.  I don't have any problems with stacking or fingerpinch.  Take a look at the PCH for a shorter bow.

64" PMA or a 64" Schafer both work fine for me!!

We've started making the Shrew Classic Hunter in 58". It will handle a 32" draw very smoothly.

I was going to mention looking at the Shrew if he wants a shorter bow.  Generally it is tough to find a short bow that will shoot well with such a long draw, and on most designs I would say 64" would be a good minimum.  But if he really wants a shorter bow the Shrew is one that can handle it easily.

What's his price range? I draw 32" and have had no problem with certain 62" recurves by Black Widow, Bob Lee, Trad Tech, and a few others.

I can build a 60 inch Talon 11 that will handle 32 with 0 stack and still retain good string angle.

Max1 XL limbs, Carbon Foam, Draw right at 2# per inch at 32" no stack at all.
Can be a ILF or Morrison Cheyenne from 60" to 66". 70" in ILF.
