Kirk, sent you a PM.   Will
Hmmmmm. I know you think you understand what you thought I said, but I'm
not sure that what you heard is what I actually meant!

What a stunning bow...   :notworthy:

WOW!!!

An eye catcher for sure.

EVEN pretty bows want to hunt...drag it up a tree like the rest of your bows...push your way through the brush like the rest of your bows...

HUH.....maybe Kirk better chime in on this again.

Kirk said he was sending it to me, then I was suppose to send it on to you after I played with it for a week or so  :dunno:

Thats just sick!!!!!  Newfangled language for simply deliciously awsome!!!

Kirk everytime I see a strung profile of a Squatch I thinknow thats just one nasty looking bow. Exactly what a bow limb should look like at brace.

God bless you all, Steve

The Sasquatch arrived.

I had been planning to make another bow my go to for a hunt that begins August 6th. However, after shooting and comparing my new Sasquatch I've changed my line-up.

With a Digital Pro Chrony I documented the following readings this morning.

Sasquatch 49#@26": 180, 176, 179 = 178.33 FPS.
(This draw weight is a bit higher on my digital scales than reported above.) This was with a Beman Classic MFX 600 spine arrow weighing 413 grains. I'm going to be hunting with Beman MFX Classics but weighing 507 grains and 500 spine.

Of all my recurves this bow racks up more FPS than any other.

This is very good news because I can get slightly better performance with the Sasquatch at 4 pounds lighter draw weight!  Also, the Sasquatch is more pleasant to draw and hold and feels more smooth.

The Sasquatch is infinitely more photo-friendly.

Of all the bows I've handled these past three years as I returned to recurves, I am the most satisfied with this one. My thanks to fellow lefties RW and Billy and of course Kirk, the bowyer.

The bow pictured above wasn't quite finished when the pics were taken. The grip is a bit different (very close to BW PCH) and the finish is satin but highly polished.

Parts of the bow are stunning, to me. The G-10 (did I get that right) I-beam makes the riser look disjointed and out of balance to me. The top and bottom of the riser looks disportionately large compared to the narrow racing lines of the grip. I think I will want some type of overlay on the i-beam when I get my Sasquatch!  :D  Wish I could make it to Denton to see some of these bows. They don't look anything at all like a Bear recurve.  ;)

Well you know what they say owl bait.... even negative advertizement, is good advertizement.

Actually i do build these risers with a G-10  I-beam and a matching wood overlay in the sight window for those that would like it.... Personally i like that jet black shelf cut out, and so do quite a few others looking at my order list. I could inlay your name in mother of pearl on a bow for you if you'd like....

The "Bare recurve" remark made by the narrator on the "Hunting with Sasquatch" TV show will be straightened out in the next show. i just got a call from the producer today.....

There is another episode where Laramy takes a Bison with that Obsidian long bow coming up. and I'll get credit for building that "long bow" on that show.

Sorry you can't make it to Denton hill Mike.
(owl bait) But if you give me some specs, I'll send you a bow to run through the paces any time.
if i don't have anything in stock that fits, I'll build one to your specs..... Kirk

Thanks Kirk! I certainly didn't want it to be negative, just an observation. That's why I'm anxious to see one in person. Photos and actual, in the hand comparisions can be as different as night and day. I have to drive to my little hunting shack to watch the show, so I'll try to keep it on the schedule. I'll check out your stock bows after Denton, you probably won't have any left and will be filled up with custom orders! Have a great trip to Pennsylvania.
