Weight of Gasket Lacquer per dip
« on: August 04, 2007, 10:00:00 AM »
Someone on here within the last couple of months was asking about how much weight each dip of GL adds to a shaft.
I recently checked the weight of a dozen POC's and then dipped and rechecked weight again.
My test showed an average of 5 grains / dip after cleaning the glob off the end of the shaft.

Just a little useless info for a saturday morning.

If you use water based poly dip it will add 15+ grains per dip. Just like Brutus said..... and a little more.
