Best bolt on quiver?
«
on:
July 11, 2012, 11:17:00 PM »
I am thinking of buying a bolt on quiver for my three piece, 5 arrows being the MOST I want to carry. Which one? I can't believe how few there are compared to strap and slide on quivers!
I use tree sharks, vpas and big-3 broadheads.

Dan: I love my Bigjim quivers and don’t need another quiver, but those Kanati quivers are begging me to buy one.

I have a Bighorn (Delta) quiver that is still kicking after 27 years.

The great northen quick detach is very nice in the bolt on.It sits very close to the riser for excellant balace. Is easily removed without taking the bow down and holds 5 arrows. Its hard to beat IMO.

Great Northern is the lightest and the best. The ones with the big leather covered brackets are too heavy imo.

For a "Bolt-On", Selway is my choice. Mount is very secure, looks great, truly traditional and light weight.

For big broadheads, I like Selway's as well. For smaller heads, I use an Eagle's Flite and substitute a Selway straight gripper, rather than the EF semi-circle gripper, on the bottom bracket.

Man, truthfully I suppose it turns out I'm not real picky! thought I would be more. Weight isn't an issue, since they are all relatively light and this riser is all phenolic anyway. I have an EFA 3 arrow for my one peices that I really enjoy.
I think I'll put an Never hunted Asbell Wool hooded jacket up for trade for a four arrow bolt-on. Thanks for all the suggestions guys, you really take the guess work out of things.
Love it. Dan

Delta for me, although they are typicall 7-arrow models but love the adjustability of the quiver and with different bracket shapes you can adjust the quiver high, low, in or out on the riser to balance the weight of the quiver on the bow. I have mine set so it balances perfectly with the slight cant that I normally shoot my bows in and sits right in the hand on release.

I had an EFA bolt-on and really liked it. I think it was called a Cheyenne. It's no longer on their website but maybe you could have one made.
