I guess I count for that one Bob , but then does extra income mean arrows and quivers and wood and well , you get the point.

Part time, I have a lawn to take care of and a garden and a wife so just part time . About 10 hours a day. I'm retired though and do it because I love doing it. Not as a job.

God bless you all, Steve.

nate at bamabows isn't full time.  he takes time off.

he just told me this morning about the time he took off to make himself a 90#, 58" expedition.  it shoots 900g arrows.

i also know he goes fishing, and frankly, i resent it.

he could be spending that time building the bow i have on order.

I retired after working 30 years with a system of wilderness camps for kids in trouble.  I went full time bow building then, almost 2 years ago and I'm loving it.  7 Lakes Longbows

Like what Ted Fry said, Im full time but. I make quivers, rawhide, process snake skins and all the native supplies that I sell. In the fall I hunt as much as I can as well as in the winter I trap and finish fur to sell in Canada. Then I write as many articles as I can about it all.
Thats how I make bows full time.

Just curious on how long it actually takes to make a bow from start to finish. How many, on average, do you bowyers make a week, month or even year. I am sure there are a lot of factors that go into customizing them for each individual.
