I just took the family for a truck ride in the rain to go check my trail camera, and I was not only pleased to have one more new 6 point on the camera, we were all also able to see 5 of the buck grouped up. My little guy (just turned 7 today) decided he wanted to see how close he could get to them. He wasn't to successful, but he made it to a few trees, that when I caught up to him, I noticed they were crabapples, and the fruit was so plentiful that it was weighing down the branches. Looks like this season is coming together nicely. Just happened to be a very brushy oaktree growing about 15 yards from the heaviest producing crabapple tree. Perfect for the Rancho Safari ghillie.
