GT 7595 question

I've been shooting a lot of 5575 and I'm curious what set ups the 7595 works best for.  I draw about 28 and need arrows at least 29".  At what weight would I need to step up to the 7595?

Biathlonman, What # bow are you shooting?

I shoot  black 7595's with a 100gr insert, and 200gr point. I also have a 1" aluminum footer to prevent banana peeling. Cut to 30".

My bow is a 60# predator recurve. It took me a while to find a set up that worked but these fly extremely well. With broadheads and field points, the arrows just pinwheel away, even on less than perfect releases.

I mostly enjoy shooting wood, but with carbons, the 7595's work for me.

With a 30" arrow and bows 50-52#s,400 grs on the front end,makes a 700 gr arrow if black shafts are used.

30" arrow and 60# bow,350 grs up front.

I shoot75/95 full length with 225gr up front out of my Wapiti, I pull 62 lbs at 31"

i shoot them out of my 69#@28" recurve with 250gr point, 100gr insert, plus a home made weight behind the insert and weight tubes. total weight is 890gr. among other things i've shot 2 water buff with them.

I'm getting good tuning out of the 5575, out of 46-55 pound bows but the arrows are coming in around 500 grains.  Trying to figure out if I can get them tuned and come in around 600 grains.

At 600 grains, 7595s will be way too stiff for those bows. You could probably get the weight up to where you want it with the 5575s. Have you tried heavier points yet to see how they shoot?

you know you might have better luck out of the CX Heritages, they weigh a little more per inch than the GT's and have a little softer spine, .320 for the CX350's vs .300 for the 75/95's. I shoot the GT's cause they give me the FOC I'm looking for as well as the GPP I'm looking for, IMHO the CX's might be just a tad tougher than the GT's, but the GT's give me the specs I'm looking for better and any shot that I would break a GT on, the Cx's would probably break too.

Well try this one, I bought a doz blems just to play with,
ACS 52#  at my draw of 31" 100 grain brass insert, 175 grain point and they fly great, paper tune good, and bare shaft slightly stiff, I plan on shoot 250 grain VPA that should take care of the slight stiff.
The shaft that flys perfectly with this bow is Easton Axis 340 with 100 grain insert and 175 VPA
Go figure everything says that this will not work, but it does...

I shoot 75/95 trads out of my 62# @ 28" Dwyer Defiant.  They are 31 1/2" long with 175 grain tips or broad heads up front.  I draw 30"

Since switching to skinny strings I'm needing real stiff arrows.  My #46 recurve tunes perfectly at 30.5" and 175 gr. Point.  #55 longbow is shooting perfect at 29" and 200 gr. Point.  Both are right at 500 grains, would like to get the arrows for the #55 and the #52 recurve I have coming up closer to 600.

GT traditional shafts are .300 spine, GT camo shafts are.320 spine not sure what their black arrows are, they might be .340 and all are called 75/95, I know it don't make sense but that's what they are, straight off the GT website.

Sorry about that.I see that now on their site.I don't understand it though.In 3555's and 5575's they list black,camo and trad as exactly the same deflection.With 7595's they list black as .340 and trad as .300.There is quite a bit of difference in stiffness there.Thanks for letting me know.

OK..now I'm confused...the GT website says 7595 camo are .340 spine. I'm I looking wrong?

yep, that's what it says now, I know I spine checked the ones I bought and that was a year ago to prove to my buddy that the "blems" were not varying on the spine, but only cosmetic blemishes and they spine checked all in range and all about .320. I also know I seen it say they were .320 on the GT sight, might of recently changed. I know they are considerably softer in spine than the traditional arrows.

If you continue on that web site, on the menu where it says SPECIALTY and then click on TRADITIONAL you will see it says that the woodgrain 75/95 is spined at .300
