I shoot instinctive on the close shots and. Squint my rt eye over. 40yrds had to switch to lefty badshoulder.

I was exactly what you describe and I would constantly shoot to the left and low.  Switched over to left handed and have never seen better shooting for myself.  I'd say try the left side.  You learn faster than you think.  But if you don't like it; it is very easy to go back to right handed.

when I'm teaching adults to shoot handguns and rifles and they are in that position I recommend an eye patch or safety glasses with the left eye blacked out.  With kids I'll teach them to shoot left handed as they take to it faster.  With the patch you'll start training your eyes to become right eye dominant.
