Western Nebraska Early Nov deer
«
on:

Me and a couple buddies are thinking of heading up that way this fall. Is there any decent public ground to hunt with good quantities of deer? We don't get to shoot often here, so this is a quantity vs. quality. Anyone got any info would be appreciated. You can pm me or email me to
[email protected]
Thanks, Ryan

Look at the reservoirs,, Several out there with good hunting, Cresent Lake would be an adventure as would Wild Cat hills or Pine ridge.
Cleer creek west of big Mac should be a great hunt too.
With the hot dry summer I would definitly look to hunt near water

Ryan, there is a group of PBS guys doing a hunt out there in October, and I know they are hunting some public ground somewhere near Chadron. If the dates worked for you I'm sure you could join them if you wanted.

The Chadron / Pine Ridge area is definitely top drawer, and tops of public ground. They have had some major fires up there this year which will affect things for sure.
