Last year I bought a Rescue One CDS harness and really like it and recently I heard that the company that makes them is out of business and no longer selling them. Does anyone know why? I googled it and didn't come up with anything. I'm wondering if there is a problem with the harnesses? Is it still safe to use?

I think they're certainly safe - I bought one but returned it - no offense but personally I found it heavy difficult to master enough to be comfortable using it in the dark. They had a bunch of competition out there as well with many new entrants joining the game

Thanks Ray. I agree they are heavier than other harnesses and the coiled rope against the back isn't as comfortable but when I go high with a climber I like the peace of mind. My concern was if there was litigation based on product defects but if that is not the case I will continue to use mine.
