Ben Pearson LB question
« on: August 08, 2012, 01:30:00 PM »
I bought an old Ben Pearson take down longbow from a guy for $10.00. All it says on it is Ben Pearson. Question I have is the upper or lower limb the longer one. One limb is 2 inches shorter than the other. bow is in pretty good shape. He said it draws 50#.

The lower limb would be the shorter one of the two.  Many modern longbows also are made that way.
The years accumulate on old friendships like tree rings, during which time a kind of unspoken care and loyalty accrue between men.

Any pictures? Any writing on the riser or on the end (the part that insets into the lower limb) of the upper limb?  What color is the bow?
