ATTN: those who tinker....

those who tinker, or otherwise modify your equipment, i could sure use your suggestions. I have a dawgware TIMO light quiver. Nice quiver, but it is "semi-rigid". which basically means that it can be crushed- well mine has a crease in it. People who own one know what i'm talking about. I need some suggestions on how to make the opening rigid again and get that crease out. I don't want it to look tacky after i'm done. Is there a good way to DO this?

About the only thing that comes to mind with the type of material would be to stretch it out again maybe 3 or 4 inch pvc cut into a couple of thin rings say 1/4 inch wide stuft into quiver to stretch open on either side of opening could even leave a strip attatched very thin on either side to act as stiffener wouldn't have to be PVC but some other pipe lightweight, or just wash an stretch over pipe much like blocking a cap and see if can put part of form back in.Might eve be after market spray that can help retain shape maybe not starch but similar!!!GOOD LUCK

 Lowes has some pex pipeing in different size and 3/8 o.d. can be bought for about .50 cents a foot give or take a few cents and you can have them cut it for you cause they carry it in rolls on a spool...It's the clear more rigid material not the rubbery clear but stiffer...You can use a little heat not much to mold it to the shape you need to form a semi loop or whatever you need to shape it...I am not certain of the quiver you are referring too but this is just a thought from a plumber of most my life...

O.k. saw the quiver and if you are talking about the opening you can still use the pex pipe to stiffin it but could take a utility knife and split it length wise or even get that clear or look for black in the plumbing material for irrigation materials and splitting it will act like a clamp when slipped over the edge...If you can mold it to shape it carefully I think that will do the trick and a little plumbers goop in the purple tube with the glues and epoxy stuff at lowes will hold it in place once dry...Just a little bit!

I saw the quiver, and around the mouth you may be able to use a piece of copper wire(from a length of electrical house wire) and make a small hole in the edge of the edging that goes around the opening and run it through, that should keep the mouth firm.And the PVC idea is great for the inside.

Wire sounds good and if you have no wire laying around for that edgeing maybe some heavy string trimmer line will work?

would some small metal banding work. the stuff im thinking of is then and bendable but also will hold its shape. maybe rivet it around the top for a nice look iside or out.

I appreciate the input fellas. I'm not sure what i might do. I had a guy suggest that i rivet a gallon paint stirrer on the inside- on either side...just under the camo cloth. And right now, that seems to be a pretty good idea.

Also in the wood/plastic moulding department are some plastic 1/4" trim that look like a long yardstick that are rigid plastic..Kind of looks like lattice but plastic and about 11/2" wide by 8 feet... You could also glue it without rivit's and paint it camo... Just use plumbers goop and let it set up overnight and run it full length of the inside of the quiver or outside and this stuff is tuff and waterproof glue...Same idea as the paint stick but the plastic would be waterproof also...

ok- now i like that idea, that might very possibly work. and no rivets.. which i like better. thanks, man.
