Anybody ever hunted here? Been wanting to for some time. It's NW Oklahoma dang near to Kansas. Public land, I think about 16k acres in the bend of Canadian River.

Yep I've deer hunted it twice, and turkey hunted it probably a dozen times. Can be some good hunting, but it's still public ground. Expect to see deer in fare numbers just because it's very open country, but don't expect to see a lot of deer. They're there, and common but from my experience your not going to see 20 per day but more like 4 or 5.

Both times I've been there I would spend some time scouting then I would hunt set up on the ground and just wait. but spot and stalk could work. There is plenty of cover and even stand sites in the creek bottoms.
