Heart Breaker Long Bows???
« on: August 20, 2012, 12:44:00 AM »
Hey guys I am trying to trade my compound for a nice trad bow and I got one offer. The guy has a Heart Breaker D shape long bow. He has no clue about trad gear or archery for that matter but said he bought it for a decorative piece? Anyways I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of this bowyer. He did send pictures and she isn't very pretty. One key thing is that it has a design on the riser, it looks like ink or stippiling. Thanks!

I can't find any reference to that longbow, just compounds of that name.

I would just sell your bow, eventually, and keep an eye on the classifieds here for a reputable replacement.

AZ, you might have more luck trying to sell your compound on multiple sites (granted, I myself am not having much luck doing that, but it could be simply that my price is too high) rather than trying to trade.  I would not swap for a bow that (1) didn't appeal to me and (2) I hadn't shot. Good luck!

I was able to google up a reference to a Thunderhorn heartbreaker longbow, but didn't see anything really illuminating.

Are you sure it's a "heart breaker" and not a "heart stopper"?
