I figured out my problem at the 3D shoot today. I shot with one arrow the whole shoot, I was really nervous when I thought I lost it !
I am right handed shooting left wing, but what I figured out is my nock placement in relationship to the cock feather is very finicky. It is totally my fault as I have a lot of spiral on my feathers & the cock feather at the start was what was hitting my hand. The feather at the end (it's widest point) was laying horizontal, straight away from the shelf. I had one arrow in my bunch where the cock feather was more upward at the start & the fletch never hit my hand.
I was very happy with my Ambush & my shooting !
Do I need to use a left spiral clamp on my bitzenburger or is the straight clamp with a left wing enough spiral ? Even using the straight clamp with a left wing there is some natural spiral in the fletch. If I did this I wouldn't have no problems at all. If I should use a left spiral clamp, I will have to play around with the bitzenburger to get that cock feather up & out of the way at the start of the feather.
Thanks for all the advice, I learned a lot from my screwup !
