Stumpin with Little Man
« on: August 25, 2012, 10:27:00 PM »
Took the Little man out stumping with me today. He's 6 1/2. Had a great time. He even hit his target a few times, and near enough a few others. He was bending that little Sammick rather well! Before we left the house he asked if he could shoot a bunny....had to tell him not yet.

Few things better than spending time with my boy out with God and carrying a bow.

Nothing better than shooting with the kids! I have found that they go in cycles though, sometimes they are really into it and sometimes they can take it or leave it.  I don't push it and hope that my excitement about shooting archery will spark their interest.  Seems to be working as we shot for two hours today, it also might have had something to do with the giant bag of balloons that I found in the basement!!!
That's why they call it hunting....

Good job. I take my 3 year old son and 6 year old nephew stump/leaf or stick shooting. I let them pick to target and we shoot until we hit it. I look forward to those walks more then actually hunting.

I like to take my 5 year old out shooting at whatever we can find. Sometimes we will pretend a stump is a dinosaur or some kind of creature from his imagination, we have lots of fun!

His little sister actually has much better form. She's going next time. Also gonna try the balloon trick and add a few hole punch debris to a couple.
