Anyone use this instead of Ferr-L-Tite
Hot Melt Adhesive? I am wondering if how the this cheaper stuff preforms.
Bob.

All I've ever used for woodies and points/BH. Never had a failure. Make sure everything is clean/oil free and you're good. I also use it on inserts for glue-on BHs.
I have had Gorilla super glue failure (carbon inserts) but never craft hot melt.

Absolutely, all I use on aluminums, carbons, and wood. I buy the large sticks. Cheap and work well. I make sure to not skimp on the glue when installing points.

I love fer-l-tite but sources dried up locally years ago. Being frugal, I started using the cheapest hot melt that I could find. I have lost a couple of field points in the bales, but it could be because I didn't clean the inside properly before gluing them on.

Pulled the tips off a 6 arrows in 6 shots using it. Don't know if they were not clean enough or what, but won't use it again.

I use a white colored hot melt that 3Rivers sells,I don't really care for Ferr-l-lite.It is too brittle, haven't used it in years. The white colored hot melt is stronger and holds better.

I built some woodies for a friend about 6 months ago. I got the shafts from Hildebrand and while talking with Neil he reccomended I try a stick of his hot melt. This stuff is great and is the best I've ever used. It works on my aluminums as well as woodies.

I use it all the time. Don't skimp on the glue, make sure its clean after the surface is prepped. I'm convinced prep is more of a key than what you decide to use.

There goes my retirement plan.
I figured on buying a stack of it and repackaging at a hunnerd percent markup. Oh well, best laid plans and all that.
