Mid Season Boot?
« on: August 27, 2012, 02:10:00 PM »
Sorry if its been covered but did a search and didnt find much.

Season ranges from early september to mid february and need a solid mid season boot.  I wear my hiking boots in the early season and my muck boots for the late season when it gets real cold out but Im looking for a reasonable mid season boot.

Uses:
Hiking, small game, half day sits on stand for deer

Must have:
Good ankle support
Waterproof
Some insulation

Just ooking for a leather 8" or so boot that will be good for my needs and not roll my ankle and break it again with my rubber boots.  Ive broken both my ankles numerous times and they roll very easy so its time to switch back to leather laced boots to stop this.

Also with hard times comes low budget so Id like to keep it under $200 if I can.

I figured there are a very wide variety of hunters here so this would be handled by many people and you guys could give me some solid hitters.
