P&Y bull
« on: September 04, 2012, 04:45:00 PM »
Hi
Thursday evening I had a P&Y bull walk out of the woods, straight at me and right under my tree stand, then straight away, and out of my life.  Not a thing I could do but stand up there and watch (and shake).
Next weekend I'll go try again.

Good luck, hopefully he will repeat his pattern, a bit slower.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Musta been close if you were able to score him before he left!

Good to pass up an iffy shot at such a difficult angle. Hope you can move your stand to get a better angle if he comes calling again. Man that is exciting being so close to a monster bull, but that is why we love elk hunting.  :clapper:    :clapper:

All good things come to those who wait maybe next time you collect. You were in the right place at the right time just not all working together yet for you. Good luck I hope you get another opportunity at him or another.
