Not really.  Over the past 45+ years, I've owned a fair number of bows, but only a small percentage of the different models made.  If you described a bow to me by referring to a particular model, unless I had owned that model, I doubt I'd know what you were talking about.

Just because they don't know about what other bowyers are good at, don't mean they aren't good at what they make.
