Bareshaft tunning tip
« on: September 10, 2012, 08:57:00 PM »
i wanted to give all of you a heads up. i have found this for myself. your results may vary. if i shoot a bare shaft that is properly setup and use a tab(probably glove too) that does not have a finger spacer it gives me a nock left indication showing weak spine for a right handed shooter. and will occasionally shoot straight... when i switch to a tab with a finger spacer my arrows fly like darts. this is with a 58in recurve bow. its probably me having too much finger pinch i would guess. but if you are tuning and constantly getting a nock left or inconsistent flight when trying to tune. this may be your issue to. try a tab with a finger spacer. just a bit of advice.    :knothead:

Interesting.  I shoot tabs I cut myself.  I'll have to see if I can find the original tab I got and try it.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.
