And good luck to you too.  Tomorrow evening will find me sitting over a natural spring with hopes that the hot weather may bring them in for an early drink!

Dang it all. . . .

"Eric Lobner, a district wildlife supervisor for DNR, said the outbreak appears to be centered in Columbia County, but dead deer have also been reported in Waukesha, Walworth and Rock counties.

He said about 30 deer have been affected so far."

Guess where I hunt. . .

It was nice to be back in the woods this morning.  No deer but plenty of squirrels and I had fun watching a farm cat stalk and ultimately catch a mouse for breakfast.

Good luck everyone!

Good luck to all you guys and be safe. This morning i drove past where a nice buck had been crossing a road from state land onto private land during evenings and feeding in the alfalfa field. There were 6 cars parked along that road this morning. Some how i knew that was going to happen.  :dunno:

I had so much fun on my short morning hunt (I had to work a 13 hour shift starting at 9 so I had to leave the woods at 830) that I took all next week off! I hope everyone else enjoyed themselves as much as I did!

I bumped two does going in to the woods yesterday and about 10 minutes before the end of shooting time, I could hear a deer walking across the river not too far from me. It was definitely a fun time. Have fun everyone!

ChuckC- I wish I had been that lucky!
