Double nocking point?

For those of you who use a double string nock, how much space or play do you leave your arrow nock between the the two string nocks??

Just enough to not bind the arrow at full draw. Maybe 1/16".

I found it works better for me if I make plenty of room. I used to have just a little clearance and it cause flight issues so now I leave plenty and it works great.

between 1/16 and 1/8seems to work best for me.too much space and it defeats the purpose.

I measure a 1/4" between my two nock sets when using 5/16" nocks.

I fit my nock of my arrow on the string below the first nock. I then decide how much room I want to leave for that particular diameter shaft and nock. It has been my experience that nocks that have a shallow throat do better with a more tight fit while those nocks with a deep throat do better with a loose fit.

I set the bottom nocking point loose maybe half way tight then draw to fill draw a couple times and set it where it wants to be so there isn't any bind on the nock.

I shoot two under so the bottom nocking point is the important one to keep the arrow from sliding down the string upon release. The top one just keeps it from possibly bouncing up. I used to get false "nock high" flight until I tied the bottom nock on. After that I take my nock height measurements to the bottom of the bottom nock.

I have enough space to see the string serving above the arrow nock when shooting. So 1/16" or a little less gap is all. It stabilized my arrow flight tremendously. I also tie mine tight/loose enough for them to be adjustable but stable while shooting.
