A bow for the wife!
« on: September 22, 2012, 01:12:00 PM »
After a long summer filled with family activities, my practice time was severely neglected. With a little over two months till our bow season, I vowed to shoot everyday till our opener. Today my wife came out and wanted to shoot my bow to see why I loved it so much. She shot it but struggled to pull it back very far and slapped her arm. I want to get her a nice little bow but don't want to spend a lot on one because she's not sure she will use it very much. Hopefully next summer 3-D shoots will be a family event. Anyone have any recommendations?

It's hard to beat the Samick Sage if you're looking for an inexpensive starter bow!

I started out shooting one and kept it for bowfishing when I upgraded to a custom.  My wife expressed some interest a while back and now she's shooting it with a set of 25# limbs I bought from 3Rivers.

It's a great shooting bow for the money and it's nice to have a "beater" around the house for family and friends that "just want to shoot once to see what it's like".

Make sure you get your wife a bow that fits her not for a guy. She will want to shoot it all the time.

Seems like a fair trade...'course I suppose you'd have to see pictures. ( I suppose I should see pictures of your bow, as well) Ha-ha,ha!

Herwaybow. I have one his bows for my young son. It's a very nice one. I am sure he can do one to your specs for your wife. His work is top notch.

Steve Turay makes a beautiful Baraga in small handle light pounds that my wife loves.

Jeff, I've seen her shoot that bow. They do make a good combination!
