Orange / Beaumont, Texas

My son and his wife just moved to the Orange/ Beaumont,Texas area.  Any good hunting opportunities in this part of Texas?  I am  sure I will have to visit several times a year!  Thanks!

Texas is mostly private land. This is why hunting on paid private leases is how it's done here. Basically, a good 3 day package hunt is how people hunt who don't have a hunting lease.

Thanks Night Wing.  I knew much of Texas was tied to leases but was sure if there was public land here also.

North of you from Jasper up to around Center Texas and from Toledo Bend west to Crocket Texas there is close to a million acres of Public land.  If you are in to see your son look me up and I will help you out since I live right in the middle of it.
